Julie Nichole, Author

Julie Nichole is a retired Registered Nurse and mother of two daughters. Having grown up in Quincy, Massachusetts, she currently lives in New Hampshire with her family and her dog Toby.

Julie began writing children's books in the summer of 2022. Her first book, In My Heart, was written to honor the memory of Katelyn E. McCarthy after her sudden passing on May 13, 2022 at just 18 years old.

Throughout Katelyn's school years, she endured bullying and many challenges due to her learning differences. She overcame many of her obstacles during high school and Katelyn learned that the most important quality a person can have is kindness toward others. She was unapologetically unique, always kind and true to herself. She stood up for herself and others that were also experiencing bullying. Katelyn always accepted others and was a calming force amongst her friends.

In My Heart was created to encourage kindness and self-love for children of all ages. The one thing that Katelyn wanted was to always treat others with kindness. Julie's hope is to keep Katelyn's memory alive through this book and her Scholarship Foundation.
